Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, a representative body of the Sikh-Panth, has an illustrious record of its establishment and development. The members of the body are elected through adult franchise. About The Author Of 'The Presidents Of SGPC' 

Roop Singh (b. 20.4.1963), after completing his Master degrees in Punjabi and Religious Studies, edited the monthly organ of SGPC Gurmat Prakash for nine years. By virtue of his deep-delving diligence, arduous commitment and crystal ­clear thinking, he could ascertain his acumen by popularising this religious organ among the Sikh world. Now he is serving as Secretary of SGPC.
