Preface To Book 'Sikh Value System  and Social Change' Book By Gurnam Kaur

The present book "Sikh Value System and Social Change" comprises the papers, presented at a Seminar, sponsored by the U.G.C and organised by the Department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Studies of the Punjabi University Patiala. The papers, included in this book focus on important issues of Sikh Value System in the frame-work of Social Change. It makes an effort in the direction of establishing the theological perspective on Sikhism---the youngest religion of the world. The thrust is academic, which aims at making the study of religion, an intellectual discipline.

I trust, this book will arouse the interest of scholars and students, working in the domain of religious studies.
