About The Author of 'Sri Harmandir Sahib(Fully Illustrated)' 

Born in 1970, Anurag Yadava spent his childhood in the beautiful environs of historic Shimla, as also traveling to far-off places of natural splendour with his father, an engineer with the Border Roads Organisation, and himself an avid photographer.

Anurag's love for photography is born out of his passion for life and its myriad celebrations-a quality that has allowed him to transform a routine professional obligation for frequent travel into an opportunity and an asset for nourishing his quest for the unseen in the ordinary.

His works include photo docume­ntation of the natural and built heritage sites of Northern India, including those rarely visited by the common tourist. He has received several awards and has exhibited his work at various places.

With a Masters degree in Architecture and a career in Armed Forces, IJS Bakshi has been teaching since 1988, first in Chandigarh College of Architecture till 2003, when he retired as its Principal, and subsequently with Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture as its Director.

Widely travelled with a passion for study and conservation of Historic Built Environment, he has carried out various important assignments in the related field. He is consultant to various organisations on traditional/historic architectural issues.
