Foreword To The Book 'Living Of A Gursikh' By S. J. S. 'Pall' 

It has been a long felt need to have such literature in simple language which can apprise the new generation of Sikh Religion, Culture, Values and Way of living. It is indeed the duty of the elder generation to guide the younger ones and show to them by self-example and teachings, the spiritual path, in the foot steps of the great Sikh Gurus. S. Surinder Jit Singh Pall, by writing this book on the living of a Gursikh, has performed this task in an ideal manner. In the introductory Chapter, he has given basic information regarding Sikh Religion and a comparative study of this Religion with other prominent Religions of our country. In the subsequent Chapters, he has touched briefly and in the simple manner almost all aspects of life covering various stages right from the childhood till death. He has given useful information and certain suggestions in an effective manner. I am hopeful that by writing this book, the younger ones of Sikh families and those who are desirous of knowing the traditions and values, the rites and customs of this great Religion, will stand benefited. I further hope that anyone who reads will feel influenced and inclined towards the teachings, as contained in Guru Granth Sahib, and by following the same, he will feel to be a better Sikh and consequently a better human being.
