Eminent Sikh scholar and historian, Dr. Gopal Singh has hailed Dr. Jasbir Singh Ahluwalia as one of the very few original thinkers, in India, of the present century. His role in interpreting Sikhism in modern (non-Vedantic) idiom has been compared to that of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan in respect of Hinduism.
