From The Back Cover Of 'Guru Gobind Singh , An Undying Spirit' By Surinder Singh Johar
Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last apostle of the Sikhs was Patna on December 26, 1666. It was a period of political turmoil in the country. Tyranny, oppression and persecution reigned supreme. He resorted to use of arms when all the other means had failed and infused a new spirit of courage, bravery and nation-hood among his countrymen. He aroused me dormant energies of the vanquished people.
Guru Gobind Singh during a short span of his life did wonders and left his footprints for the posterity to follow. He was one of the greatest men in history. He fought throughout his life for human freedom and not for any individual gains. He stood for secularism, democratic principles and pleaded for man's rights and non interference in his personal life. Though he did not live to see his high aims accomplished, yet he had set the people's souls free and filled their hearts with a lofty longing for freedom and national ascendancy.

In enables the reader to grasp the environments in which the Guru was born and gives a vivid picture of the Guru's eventful career, supporting the narration with un-challengeable evidence and countering the fallacies and misconceptions about the great Guru's life. The book fulfil a long felt need of the students of hstory, scholars and general readers.
